Winter Oh Winter, Here I Come!

 

The winters have just arrived a week or so. And we are already rummaging through our cupboards for our woolens, are we not? Winter spends around 2 -3 months in Kolkata, our city. Thanks to Global warming created by us HUMANS, the tenure will decrease day by day. So, let us just enjoy the time it is there to give us cool breezes all through.

 

Winter, means cool breeze blowing all the time, it means colors, that give us warmth and it also means that we can wear whatever pleases us without getting drenched in sweat like the other 9 months in our tropical climate. So, what all are we wearing today?

 

There are huge range of apparel to style up our wardrobe this winter.

 

Poncho – are a hit every season, irrespective if your age. Team it up with jeans, salwar suit leggings and Voila! You are ready to set pace in this cold weather.

 

Sweat shirt – is a must have wearable in this weather, for a casual weekend at office or for a brunch or a night out, it is a non-replaceable item in our closet

 

Denim Jackets – are a must have for every fashion-conscious woman in today’s times. It helps us in drawing the fine line between feeling chilled and warm. And can be teamed up with jeans or skirt as you like it.

 

Full Length fleece- can lend immense style quotient to any dress, jeans , leggings or a saree. It is an absolute essential for the winters.

 

Shrugs – be it in cotton or woollens will give an ultra-chic look to any plain jane, adding quite the style we are looking for.

 

Pullover- the good old pullover is not be missed, as it is what we have grown up in, during winters and on travel to hill stations.

 

Leather Jacket – can beat the night chill and can also give you a high, amongst others in upping the style quotient. Paired with jeans or leather pants, it’s the go- getter street look for the sexy in mind.

 

Cardigan – the school mates of the 90s and now, the good old cardigan can again be teamed up with skirts, pants and sarees and suits, the list is endless.

 

Thermals – Go the disguised manner. Wear thermals and top it off, with your favourite summer dresses and skirts, giving it a cool look, keep people wondering how you keep yourself so warm.

 

Shawls- a favourite for the Indian costume dressers. Can be worn with sarees, suits and lehengas to your wedding party and make heads turn.

 

Stockings- Hitting of a party, team up with your westerns with stockings of skin or black colour and make tongues wag..
