Pattaya Floating Market
It is also
known as the ‘Four Regions Market’. The floating market is an open exhibition
of the cultures and traditions of Thailand. You will find around 120 stalls
inside the market that showcases the four regions of Thailand. You can find
beautiful handcrafted artifacts, which you will not find elsewhere in Pattaya.
The prices are a bit steep, owing to the authenticity of the goods and the labor
that goes into producing it.
You can even move around the whole place,
divided into four zones based on the geographical distinctions of the place. You can cover the entire market in rented
gondolas, which will charge you a minimum fare. You can also find fresh fruits
and flowers in the market, part from the local cuisine.
Located on Sukhumvit
highway near Na Jomtien, this place is open from 10 am till 11 am at night. You can also catch up on some great cultural shows here and it is a
evening well spent.
Pattaya Night Bazaar
Located just opposite Central festival Pattaya Beach, this market is covered. So, that means, you respite from the heat while shopping. This market is targeted at tourists and offer cheap clothing, souvenirs, jewelry, cosmetics, DVD’s and CD’s. Practice haggling and then head for markets like these, as they have kept prices on the higher side. The market has everything you could ask for, except food. Food vendors are not allowed here.
Thepprasit Road Night Market
This market is
popular for street food. Located on Sukhumvit Road near the Outlet Shopping
Mall, you can gorge on a delectable range of street food. Also called “Pattaya Weekend Market” the food
is the main attraction here. Expect to
find the best in sea food, Thai food, appetizers and desserts in an open-air
format.
The market is
crowded from Fridays through Sundays. You can find just about anything, ranging
from duplicate watches, electronics, cutlery, car parts and pets as well as
clothing stalls. You can get get deals, if you haggle on the prices a bit. You can buy nice souvenirs for your friends
and family. The market is at its liveliest from sundown.
